The Derby will take place on Saturday, July 30, at 1:30 pm on the basketball court in Salter Park. Check-in will begin at 12:30 pm. Entry fee is $5.00. All children must have a signed registration form and minor release of liability form from a parent or guardian and will be available at registration. ● Find a Power Wheel that your child sits IN, NOT ON. No tractors, 4-wheelers, or motorcycles allowed.
● There are two age categories; Ages 3 to 5 and 6 to 8.
● In the 3 to 5 age category, if the vehicle has more than one speed, low speed must be used.
● ALL participants will receive a participation ribbon.
● No reinforcing of the power wheels.
● No raising or lowering.
● Stock tires only (duct tape is allowed for better traction)
● Stock battery may be replaced with a 12 volt ATV or lawn mower battery.
● Battery must be secured.
● You may alter the power wheels to appear like a realistic derby vehicle. Only appearances can be altered.
● Helmets are mandatory, bicycle helmets are allowed.
● Seat belts recommended.
● No passengers.
● Long pants are recommended.
● Balloons will be attached prior to the race.

By signing below I release the Waverly Picnic, its representatives/members, the City of Waverly, and Salter Park of all responsibility for any accident caused as a result of participating in the 2022 Power Wheel Demo Derby.
